Pictures: Galway

And we're off to Galway! Where people play kayak polo...weird.

But adorable, nonetheless.

I thought this was funny. Moral of the story: don't steal ringbuoys.

At a pub to listen to some traditional Irish music. Well not all of it was traditional but all of it was fun.

Same pub. Good for listening to music. Bad for trying to fall asleep when your hostel is across the street and the walls are paper thin.

Empty streets of Galway in the morning.

Old church. St. Something or other. Too many churches to remember all their names.

The reason why the streets are so empty at 9 in the morning.

Oscar Wilde we meet again.

Hanging out on the Aran Islands. Home to forts, cows, and sweaters.

A happy biker. Little did she realize that the island was much hillier than expected. And she would not always be so happy to go up and up and up the hills.

The highest point of the island. We declined to drag our aching bodies up that hill just to look at a lighthouse. No no, no no.

Pretty little sandy beach.

Cemetary. Fun fact: the circles were put behind the crosses so the ancient, sun-worshipping Celts would accept Christianity a little more readily.

The ancient fort of Dun Aenghus! Foggy because it sits right on a 300 meter cliff over the Atlantic Ocean.

Ancient Celt? Well she is almost 23. That's pretty ancient.

You can't really see the ocean because of the fog but is was a scarily far way down.

Too scared to stand.

Oh my gosh! It's so far down!

Goodbye Dun Aenghus.

Mentally preparing ourselves for the arduous bike ride back to the port.

New cathedral. Also of St. Something or other.

Yes I love lightposts!

Inside the cathedral, JFK prays to a giant gold mosaic Jesus.
