Step outside our hotel. Look right. See canal. Welcome to Venice. (Oh and I apologize in advance for the amount of pictures of gondolas. I couldn't stop myself)

St. Mark's Basilica. Interesting. BUT WAY TOO MANY TOURISTS.

St. Mark's Square. Repeat my comment about tourists. I would rather have more pigeons and less tourists. Which is saying something because the amount of pigeons is ridiculous as well.

See. Gondolas. Many many gondolas.

Cafe Florian. Where you can spend 9 euro on a cup of hot chocolate, if you really want to (I didn't).

It was an addiction, really. I would see a gondola, and think "oh, how Venetian" and before I knew it, the camera shutter would click.

Rialto Bridge. And hey, guess who. TOURISTS.

I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite because here I am taking a picture of the Grand Canal, on the Rialto Bridge which makes me a major tourist. But I accept my hypocrite-status and maintain my hatred of every other tourist.

Steve and Matt on the Rialto.

In all honesty, once you got away from the hordes of people, Venice was really cute.

Beautiful sunset. In addition to the cuteness, it did have a certain charm. If I could just figure out how to get rid of all the other people, it would be a much more wonderful place.

See what I mean? Charming.

Haha. The list of things it is FORBIDDEN to do in Venice. I especially liked how you can't eat sitting down. EVER. Everyone must always stand to eat in Venice, fyi.

Bridge of Sighs. *sigh*- Luckily free of tourists when it was dark out. Maybe because it was so freaking cold.

Me on a bridge over a canal. Obviously. I'm sure that caption really added to your understanding of this picture.

One day we decided we had enough of all the people, so we took a long walk to the very eastern tip of the island, Santa Elena, where tourists were few and far between. And you may be fooled by the sunshine into thinking it was warm...it wasn't.

Venice at night. Always nicer because of the lack of people. If I get ornier as I get older, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to return to Venice. Pretty, but frustrating.
